Can UX promote sustainability?

Extreme weather events are becoming the norm, we should ask ourselves how and when UX can support sustainable behavior. In an ideal world, government regulation is what you need if you want to change the behavior of organizations and individuals. UX can partially fill the policy gap by doing two things that promote sustainable behavior: Inform customers and decision-makers about ways to become sustainable.
