"Fly-by-wire" is a system that translates pilot’s inputs into coordinated movements of the airplane’�s engines and control surfaces. Modern commercial airplanes wouldn’t exist without something called “fly by wire” The first commercial airplane with a fly-bywire system was the supersonic Concorde jet.
