UI/UX Design - Why We Don’t See More Skeuomorph

In its day skeuomorphic design was considered the absolute pinnacle of UI implementation. It was complex, difficult to achieve, and when done correctly, created interfaces that had a richness that is distinctly lacking in much modern UI.
