Understanding User Pathways in Analytics

Analytics tools often promise to reveal user journeys and offer tools for displaying how users move through a website. Analytics can reveal the most common pathways between pages and screens. These pathways are usually visualized in a Sankey diagram. Analytics cannot tell us each user’s specific goals or expectations.
