Bootstrap 5 alpha launched – Dropping support for Internet Explorer and jQuery feels like landmark developments in the history of web development. Is your website stressing out visitors? – The very last thing you want is to design a website that stresses visitors out, leading them to dread the experience or abandon it entirely. I don’t care what Google or Apple or whoever did – Just because someone else did it, doesn’t mean you should, or even that it’s the right thing to do. The awesome Mac OS Catalina fonts you didn’t know you had access to – Apple has recently licensed fonts from type foundries such as Commercial Type, Klim Type Foundry and Mark Simonson Studio. Zince these fonts are an optional download, many users of Mac OS X are not even aware they have access to them for free. Combining UX metrics with compelling, emotional stories – We don’t want our users to become frustrated. Delivering non-frustrating designs takes hard work. Product Lists: Display Extra Product Info and Images on Hover (70% of Sites Don’t)– Displaying additional list item information on mouse hover leads to less time spent on irrelevant products, and more time spent with relevant ones.
