The web platform as we know it today — HTML, JavaScript, and CSS — has existed since 1996 and the release of Internet Explorer 3. The web is designed to be open-source, and therefore it is designed for last. Facebook, Google, Amazon6, and Alibaba all launched first on the web platform 22 years ago.
